The Benefits and Importance of Vegetable and Fruit Juicing

According to Dr. Norman Walker, a pioneer in the field of vegetable and fruit juicing and nutritional health, “Fruit juices are the cleansers of the human system, vegetable juices are the builders who revitalize the body.”[1]

From personal experience and several experts’ health advice, a lot of people have come to discover that the fresh juice of fruits and vegetables are healthy and provide a variety of vitamins and minerals to the body, in addition to cleaning the body of toxic substances. Our lifestyle and diet are major factors that impact our health and the way we feel. Drinking fresh and natural juice is one of the best ways to improve your overall health and keep your body in tip-top shape.

The Importance of Fresh and Natural Juice

I love having fresh juice in between my lunch and dinner because, in addition to getting a great feeling from eating healthy, it also helps fill my stomach and prevent me from eating other high-calorie food in between meals. However, I do not like buying commercial juices because they are mostly loaded with an unhealthy amount of sugar, preservatives, coloring, and whatnot. I like to make my own juice from fresh fruits and vegetables, and this has proven to be a lot better and healthier for me.

Not only does fresh juice tastes so much better, but you can also be sure that there are no added sweeteners or preservatives.

Our body needs fresh fruits and vegetables because they provide a healthy dose of vitamins and minerals, so drinking properly juiced fruits and veggies is a fast way for our body to absorb nutrients.

Why You Should Mix and Juice Fruits and Veggies Instead of Eating them

Mixing and juicing fruits and vegetables help us consume lots of nutrients at once, which is great because it is not always practical for us to consume the required amount of fruits and vegetables that the body needs on a daily basis.[2] It is a very effective way to stay healthy and is an effective alternative when eating fruits and vegetables is not an option.

Sieve the Juice of Fiber or Do Not Sieve the Juice?

Some people like to sieve the fiber from the juice completely after mixing the fruits together, but experts share the opinion that a little fiber is important to the body because it helps in weight loss, stomach activity, and prevents constipation. So remember, when you juice, don’t sieve. Ensure that you are drinking your healthiest glass of juice possible by including the much-needed fiber that is pivotal to the body’s health.

Mixing and Juicing Your Fruits and Veggies

It is very easy to make nutritious juice. You just need the proper fruits and veggies to mix, a good blender, a sieve, and a drinking glass. After that, juice your fresh fruits and veggies together in your blender and then sieve into your drinking glass or, on the flip-side, you might decide to sieve a little and leave some fibers to facilitate stomach activity and prevent constipation. To make sure you get a variety of vitamins, you should make it a point to juice fruits and vegetables that are fresh and in season.

Here are some additional important tips to keep in mind when juicing:

  1. Avoid adding sugar as much as possible to keep your juice as natural and healthy as possible.
  2. Always consult health juicing advice articles or a nutritionist to make sure you combine and mix the proper fruits and veggies together.[3] It would also help ensure that you mix and take in enough variety of nutrients, as well as the right amount.
  3. Mixing and consuming fresh fruits and veggies through juicing should not replace solid food. It is meant to supplement your diet, not replace a healthy one.
  4. Make sure you properly and thoroughly wash your fruits and veggies before mixing and juicing.

Drinking fresh juice, in addition to being a tasty experience, also enhances the quality of life. You can check out different juicing recipes for detoxing, weight loss, energy, and more.
