Exercise 4 – Social Contact

In our modern world with phones, contactless payments, and social media, our contact with people on a personal level is decreasing all the time. Scientific research has repeatedly told us that this social deprivation has huge negative effects on our cognitive ability.

How to Practice Social Contact?

Buy a cup of coffee from a person and not a machine. Use cash so you have to pay for things face to face and wait for change. Engage in a conversation with people in the elevator. Try to talk to one new person every day, even if it’s only for five minutes.
